Hi, I’m Mike Schellbach.
I got my licnese back in 2009. Before ACA was available. In my first insurance job, I sold a lot of limited medical plans. I quickly learned how the "industry" treated people with medical issues.
In 2011, I opened my first insurance agency and pivoted to selling "Major Medical" insurance. One issue, they didn't cover pre-ex neither.
In 2014 I had the chance to be one of the few agents who worked the first open enerollment for ACA. Besides not knowing anything about the plans or how subsidies worked. If you want to be transparent. We didn't know what insurance providers were available, what they paid, when they paid. It was a complete leap of faith.
After the first enrollment my mission was to teach every insurance agent how they could help by selling to people who need insurance. I have trained 100s of agents over the years and now its YOUR turn.
